With the divine blessings of Lord Narayana and the vision of reviving Bharatiya Samskriti, we are humbly initiating a residential Gurukulam with a modern touch – Sri Vishwesha Dhama Gurukulam located in Tataguni, Bengaluru.
The idea of Sri Vishweshadhama was born from the inspiration of ancient Bharatiya Gurukula Parampara, where education was not just academics, but a holistic life training in Dharma Jnana, Vijnana, and Seva. The founders and Acharyas felt the urgent need in the present times to revive this timeless tradition and provide children with a sacred space for learning, discipline, culture, and spirituality.
In the beginning, Sri Vishweshadhama started as a Pathashala (schooling setup) in Konanakunte, Bengaluru, focusing on Sanskrit, Veda Adhyayana, Shloka chanting, Bhajans, and Dharmic education. The early activities included weekend classes, Bala Samskara programs, and devotional gatherings, which slowly attracted children, parents, and well-wishers.
With growing participation and a vision to establish a residential Gurukulam, land was identified at Tataguni, near the Silk Institute and NICE Road junction, Bengaluru. The project is named Sri Vishweshadhama Gurukulam – a center dedicated to the divine grace of Lord Narayana and the Gurukula way of life.
Regular programs include Poojas, Bhajans, Parayana, Samskrita Sambhashana and Festivals. Children learn discipline, seva (service), devotion, and self-reliance. Parents and devotees participate in Seva programs, Annadana, and Gurukula seva. The Dhama is envisioned to become a hub of cultural revival and dharmic education for future generations.
The Gurukula at Tataguni is under active development and fundraising. Classes are already ongoing with existing students being nurtured. The inauguration phase includes setting up classrooms, shrine construction, and teacher appointments.
Long term vision is to make Sri Vishwesha Dhama - a model Gurukulam in Karnataka, combining tradition and modern relevance. To train students not only as scholars but also as torchbearers of Dharma who contribute positively to society. To eventually expand into a self-sustained spiritual and educational centre, inspiring similar Gurukulas across India.
